Tuesday 15th Nov – Covent Garden Christmas Light Switch On

Head to Covent Garden on Tuesday evening to watch the main piazza come alive with beautiful Christmas lights and decorations, as well as free live performances from The Royal Opera Chorus and The Royal Ballet.

Decorations this year include an enormous tree, large silver reindeer, garlands of mistletoe, thousands of twinkling lights and a Lego Santa express train.

Update: Here are a few pictures I took of the lights…

Friday 18th Nov – Hyde Park Winter Wonderland opens!

It’s ones of the best days of the festive season in my opinion as Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park opens its doors for another year!

Winter markets, mulled wine, fairground rides, ice-skating, Santa’s grotto, the magical ice kingdom and plenty of Chriatmassy entertainment. A visit to Winter Wonderland is the perfect way to embrace the Christmas spirit!

(Tip: Head here on a weekday to avoid the crowds.)

Saturday 20th Nov – Hamleys Christmas Parade on Regent Street

This Saturday Hamleys brings the Worlds Largest Toy Parade to Regent Street, with floats, music, dancing, hundreds of old and new toy characters and even a visit from Santa himself. A great idea for a fun family day out.
