Kishmish, Fulham

Last night I tried out a new Indian restaurant in Fulham Broadway called Kishmish. Having found the restaurant last minute on open table I went in not sure what to expect.

The restaurant was small in the front but we were taken through to the back which was spacious and elegantly decorated. There were plenty of large tables which makes it great for big groups.

Popadoms were swiftly delivered to our tables with a mix of dips. Instead of the traditional mango chutney we were given a spicey tomato and a bright green mint. I always enjoy trying something a little different and these were great!

Before our main courses arrived we were given a complementary soup served in an espresso mug. Very cute and very tasty.

For main course I went for the chicken tikka masala which was one of the nicest curries I have had in a long time. Not too spicey but with a good kick. The waiters judged how much rice and naan we’d need between the group which meant not too much wastage which often happens at group meals. There was also a good wine list (with bottles starting at just £24) and a wide variety of cocktails which makes this place great for a pre night out dinner with friends.

I would definitely recommend Kishmish for its tasty curries, filling portions, good drinks selection, attentive staff, beautiful decoration and atmosphere.
